Three things to tell us
An example is filled in. Replace it with your own figures.
The same workload. Less handling effort.
Existing platform versus iCHEX
—less manual effort in this illustration

The percentage is the share of total handling hours released for the checks selected. Adding a check also adds work, so the percentage may rise or fall with the mix.
This is the equivalent of active task time for the selected checks and QC, not the staffing requirement for an entire screening operation or a forecast of redundancies or cash savings. Your actual results depend on check mix, exceptions and adoption. Platform and implementation costs are excluded.
What the model assumes
The same selected checks and final reports are modelled on both platforms. The handling assumptions draw on operational experience, with auto-closed checks separated from faster human-handled checks.
See calculation and employment cost assumptions
The 140-hour FTE assumption starts with a 37.5-hour week. That is 162.5 hours per month before leave; allowing 5.6 weeks of annual leave leaves about 145 hours per month, then approximately five hours for training and other non-casework time. This is an illustrative staffing conversion. It changes the FTE and cost equivalents, but not the handling hours or percentage saved. UK leave entitlement.
Each selected check applies to every candidate, except employment / education referencing, which assumes 3.5 verifications per candidate when selected. iCHEX time includes manual review of exceptions. Referencing and credential checks remain human-handled with lower modelled handling time. Final report QC is counted once, with 50% auto-pass and 10 minutes for flagged review against 12 minutes on the comparison platform. A 10% retained capacity floor applies. These are fixed illustrative assumptions, not client measurements. Several check types are assumed to auto-close fully. Each reference or education verification is modelled as 25 minutes on the comparison platform and 17.5 minutes with iCHEX; this is active handling time, not elapsed turnaround. Qualifications and referencing remain human-handled with reduced time. This difference changes the blended percentage as checks are selected.
Annual employment cost = basic salary + 15% employer National Insurance above £5,000 + 3% employer pension on qualifying earnings from £6,240 to £50,270 (2026–27 standard UK assumptions). This excludes Employment Allowance, special NI categories, enhanced pension, benefits, facilities and management overhead. We use the same assumed cost per FTE on both sides.
This is a quick illustration informed by experience of an existing screening platform and iCHEX, not a measured outcome for an independent customer or a net ROI calculation.
